Collect data efficiently and accurately using the stylus to make handwritten notes and drawings with digital ink. To enter data using the keyboard, tilt up and rotate the screen (follow the arrow indicator) to a notebook configuration. The stylus and active digitizer continue to work in the notebook configuration.

You can connect to your office or campus network, or the Internet with: a modem, Gigabit Ethernet, with the optional Integrated Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Link 5300 or an Atheros® XSPAN® connection. The LifeBook T2020 Tablet PC comes equipped with diversity antennas mounted in the display panel to achieve high data transfer rates and strong connection reliability. If you use a Bluetoothenabled cellular phone or PDA, your LifeBook T2020 Tablet PC can be equipped with integrated Bluetooth (version 2.1) wireless technology for data synchronization and swapping images.

The LifeBook T2020 Tablet PC was designed for highly mobile professionals, using sales and field force automation, who want a very light, ultra-thin computer yet provides the convenience of a 12.1" wide XGA display. The optional enhanced indoor/outdoor display is ideal for users who also need productivity in an outdoor environment. Use it in notebook mode or in tablet mode, as your needs dictate. All of this functionality comes in a tablet PC that weighs as little as 3.5 lbs. The optional high-capacity battery provides all-day computing to ensure you get your work done uninterrupted. The Shock Sensor Utility also keeps you going by locking the hard drive when sudden impact, freefall, or vibration is detected, ensuring your data remains safe (may have to install this application separately).

Uncompromised Security

The LifeBook T2020 notebook provides extensive security features. These features include: an integrated fingerprint sensor, a security panel, TPM, a dedicated Smart Card slot, BIOS and HDD password protection, and embedded BIOS support for Computrace theft-protection software. For additional security, the T2020 offers pre-boot authentication or PBA standard. PBA reduces the risk of malicious attackers gaining access to your data by not loading the operating system until the user is authenticated. The T2020 also comes with PortShutter an application that allows individual users to set policies that will restrict which ports are available to the end user (USB ports, optical drives, etc). These features easily protect corporate data on the local hard drive and on the network.
