In addition to offering pen and inking capabilities, the Stylistic ST6012 Tablet PC can function as a notebook with the addition of a few accessories.
Adding Intel® Turbo Memory is a great way to experience faster boot time and improve system performance when loading frequently-used applications. The more Intel® Turbo Memory you have the better your system will perform. Intel® Turbo Memory also lowers power consumption and increases battery life by reducing hard drive activity when data is stored and retrieved from the latest flash memory technology of Intel®. Please remember that you can only experience the benefits of Intel® Turbo Memory if you have a Microsoft Windows Vista® operating system. Be sure to choose the amount of Intel® Turbo Memory you want before you buy your Stylistic ST6012 Tablet PC because it is not user upgradeable.

Maximum Flexibility

The Stylistic ST6012 Tablet PC can be carried like a notepad–or if you want to take along a keyboard, you can use the optional portfolio case and carry it like a notebook. The optional Tablet Dock features easy rotation, multiple plug-and-play ports, plus the option for modular optical drives, such as the USB DVD/CD-RW combination drive, or USB Dual-Layer Multi-Format DVD Writer. The optional built-in camera is a great way to capture important information when you are off-site or in the office. The handy, versatile 1.3 mega pixel camera and its easy-to-use software lets you take still pictures or capture video. It is great for illustrating a complicated procedure to a colleague in another state or practicing a speech. Uses for the built-in camera are limited only by your imagination.

Fujitsu offers unparalleled display technologies, allowing text and graphics to be easily seen under various lighting conditions. The bright 12.1" Wide XGA TFT indoor/outdoor display with greater than 160° viewing angles provides excellent viewing in a variety of lighting environments.

Boundless Connectivity

Applications have become much more demanding, requiring greater wireless bandwidth for such tasks as accessing MPEG 2 HDTV, video gaming, VoIP calls, and digital photography. The IEEE 802.11n standard (with its higher throughput and longer range) addresses these bandwidth issues. Atheros XSPAN® technology provides greater throughput (up to 300 Mbps), a consistent signal so drop-outs are minimized, and more concurrent devices can be reached across a greater area. A new IEEE 802.11n Wi-Fi® solution (the Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Link 5300 /5100) utilizes full MIMO (Multiple Input/Multiple Output) support with multiple antennas. The use of multiple antennas greatly increases the Wi-Fi® strength and range. Additionally, the wireless USB (UWB) feature allows wireless communication with other wireless USB devices. This is based on a short range, high bandwidth RF communication protocol that is capable of sending high data rates to another UWB device.

For an additional level of security, the Stylistic ST6012 Tablet PC offers Pre-Boot Authentication or PBA as a standard feature. PBA reduces the risk of malicious attackers gaining access to your data by not loading the operating system until the user is authenticated. The Stylistic ST6012 Tablet PC also comes with Port Shutter an application that allows individual users to set policies that will restrict which ports are available to the end user (USB ports, optical drives, etc). These features easily protect corporate data on the local hard drive and on the network.
